I can vouch for them personally.
Absolutely superb specialist - I had a couple of services and a remap done on my Abarth 124.
Would totally recommend AHM

Another vote for Alfa Aid, I've used them for a good few years and very happy. I've also bought cars from them.

Good service, knowledgeable staff and all true petrolheads. I'm sure there are cheaper out there but the old adage of, you get what you pay for, holds good. They do Fiat now also.

Alfa Aid are very good but from seeing past invoices on a GTV V6 , certainly on the juicier side of pricing by a noticeable factor.

Just checked recent google reviews, £102 / hour ! (if that is true)....gulp.

A for Alfa, used to be competence at fair value, I used Alfa Craft once for a replacement caliper and they were very fair/good.

It's a shame you are at the wrong end of the country. Northern Alfa performance charge £50 per hour if I recall and Gareth is fastidious about his work.

I’ve used Alfa Aid almost since they started in Old Windsor. Adrian is a nice guy and Paul really knows his stuff. Every time I used somewhere else I regretted it.
I’ve never used AHM but they seem well regarded, especially for their race preparation services.
Jamie Porter is good too but Royston is probably too far and pointless when you have to drive past Alfa Aid to get there.

One thing though I hope Adrian has upgraded his courtesy cars. The stickered up series one 33 was feeling tired in the nineties.

Ah yes, I well remember Straight Road Works in Old Windsor.

They've progressed to 156's, 147's and Mito's as courtesy cars. smilesmile

Am tempted to get one of their tunes, how did you find it? Any issues or other comments?

Hi.
No issues at all and it transformed the car.
Not sure what Abarth you have, but it made my 124 into the car it should have been from the factory.
The re-map was activated on the 'sport button', so was normal tune in 'standard mode', but about 200 bhp in 'sport mode'.
AHM were great and do all the maps themselves.

Thanks - I have a 124 Abarth also, Their remap looks like an obvious choice for more fun - Will give them a call

As someone else has referenced the AlfaAid courtesy cars.....when I requested one I was told I had to provide my own insurance. Never known that before at any garage, main or indie and pretty rich considering their sky high labour rates!!
