Partner of a friend is banging on about the 'health risks of smart meters' on Facebook today - loads of evidence apparently (but no links to it).
Cue a load of her friends posting things like
The meter is on the other side of the wall where my bed is. My head is literally next to it. Every day I wake with such a banging headache. I’m at my wits end. I feel like it’s slowly killing me.
I'm no expert, but a quick Google suggests that these things transmit for about 1 second a day...
Is this the latest tinfoil hat conspiracy theory, or is there actually anything in it?

I dealt with someone who apparently suffered from Wifi signals etc.
I was doing a post installation wireless survey - someone said they had a problem with the old location where one caused them a headache.
Joke is, the previous location, the AP was further away than it was in the new location! To the point where before the work was carried out there was barely any signal (not enough to use!)
And now the new AP was basically right above his head in the ceiling space.
It's all in their head. The real joke? This guy was a senior lecturer at a University.
It is scary that these people are allowed to teach the current generation...

I saw a FB post from someone ranting about 5G and encouraging people to join a "Stop 5G in the UK" group, I looked at the group and the first post was from someone with an LED streetlamp (apparently this is where transmitters will be/ are installed) outside their house and their 8 year old Daughter had a nosebleed, of course this was totally due to the 5G she was being exposed to 
One of the comments was from someone slightly more grounded stating that posts like that will make people think they are akin to flat earthers

Started a decade or two ago in the North East with a small bunch of nutters convinced WiFi and LED streetlights fried your brain. They added 4G in to the mix, but stayed a small & select bunch of loons. One of the comments was from someone slightly more grounded stating that posts like that will make people think they are akin to flat earthers 5G really excited them, and believing there was a transmitter in every lamp post, and their followers increased.
It seems that people all over the place will believe any old gibberish with no evidence at all.
My sister-in-law goes in for all this woo. A few years ago she was convinced that 'electromagnetic radiation' (a phrase she'd clearly gleaned from some BS on Facebook), was a huge health risk and responsible for every ache and pain she ever got. This despite being on her phone every hour that god sent. On one occasion I asked which particular type of electromagnetic radiation she meant, as surely it couldn't all be bad. But apparently yes, any and all electromagnetic radiation was killing us. I tried explaining that radio waves, microwaves, light itself were all electromagnetic radiation but so far as I'm aware this didn't prompt any further research or understanding.
