2006 V8 Vantage headlamp problem

Hello all
Bulb failure on dipped beam warning light came up on dash after driving in heavy rain. Checked the lights and sure enough near side dipped beam lamp was out, changed lamp out and now both near side lamps are not working. Checked the connections, fuses and lamps themselves. Looked at the wiring diagram which shows a HID lighting module somewhere. Disconnected the battery and cleared the message on the dash but still both near sides lights will not work. The LED strips work fine. Anyone know what could cause this?
