Legality of this please?

I mowed my front lawn today to find yet another dog poo.

This got me thinking. If you can't beat them, why not encourage them?

If I put a sign up saying something like "by leaving a dog faeces on my lawn you hereby agree to pay £1000 in disposal and cleanup charges" - can I enforce that to a degree I would actually get the money?

I have a CCTV with motion detector and image processing setup, so I can find out who is doing it.

Failing the £1000 I'll find out where they live and post it back to them.

Just looking for ways to monetise the turds tbh, i'm not interested in stopping it if i can get £££.

Parking companies do the same/similar with less moral justification. So I can't see how the courts could turn you down.

That was my thinking too. Its not entirely dissimilar to parking on private land whereby you enter into a contract. Dogs fall under the control order or whatever it is, meaning the owner is responsible. So, they enter into contract, leave a deposit, i find out where they live and send them an invoice. Fail to pay, take to court. Needs to be £1000 to cover my costs.

I can feel a franchise coming on..

Unless we accept dogs go around like cats doing their own thing they are under the control of someone. Perhaps parliament shall say the registered keeper of the dog shall be responsible rather than the person in control at that time.

Buy a male goat, tether it in the front garden. Keeps the grass short and will chase away dogs!

Think you might need anpr to check the dog's number plates.......

Or I printed out stills of various dogs doing this, figured out who owned them, printed the stills with a large caption....."Mrs Smiths turd" 3/10 for texture 9/10 for size and delivery
