Do people really fall for the headline monthly payment figure? You would be paying:

£3509.91 + VAT = £4211.89
Plus 35 x £389.99 + VAT = £16,847.57
Total =£21,059.46
Actual ‘monthly’ payment is £584.98

(clue: for a 3yr old, 25k 330e it's loss is about 60% of it's value - about £25-27,000)

Small element, but you would also be saving c£30/mth RFL.

If a company car, the BiK difference would be a huge element too. CBA working out the M3, but comparing the Model S with a Mere S-Class - the Tesla is £63/mth compared with just over £1,000/mth for the S-Class!!!

I'm currently borrowing a Volvo V90 Cross Country for £4900 for 18 months and 12k miles. The M3 is very poor value, for a private lease at least.

Volvo are pushing out some ridiculous good deals at present though. Mrs Ares takes delivery of a 1-series Auto on Monday for pence over £200/mth. For an extra £10 she could have had a V90 T4 momentum.

This has always frustrated me. It could just as easily be £1/month if the deposit is high enough.

Stating the monthly installments as a headline figure without referring to the deposit - a significant one in this instance - is totally misleading.

Yep. Try getting anyone with a PCP or lease to tell you any element of the deal other than the monthly. They complete blank the rest of it out of their minds.

Rubbish. Take a look at the best lease or pcp deals threads on here and all deals discussed include up front payments as no other way to understand the true costs. You're either talking to salesmen or numpties (sorry OP) if up front payments and VAT are not being included.

You really really need to start quoting ammortised figures. Theres quite a difference between saying you could have got a V90 T4 Momentum for £210 a month, and the reality of it actually being £355 a month.
