Can somebody explain the moderation on here?

I get banned from a thread for arguing for climate change but never once calling anybody a name or being abusive and certainly not using profanities as you don’t know who is reading the threads and yet others get away with murder. As one example:

Whether that post is acceptable or not isn’t the point, I don’t care either way, it’s the the gross inconsistency of the punishments handed out that I’m questioning.

I was told I was on “on your radar” when I’ve never been anywhere near that offensive and then banned from the thread simply for continuing the argument with 5 or 6 posters who all don’t believe in AGW.

I await the obligatory “if you don’t like it complain to the owners” reply followed by a closing of this thread with no serious reply at all.

I know you have posting rules so why do some get away with it, frequently, while others are removed almost immediately?

Can I now take johnxjsc1985 as the benchmark for any future posts I might make?

I'm betting that someone hit the report button and complained.

I guess too that nobody has complained about the post you highlight, and I will further venture that there will be no discussion on here.

Was the mod who contacted you JeremyC by any chance? Has been known to be a bit 'I'm in charge, there's the door if you don't like it'

It has been said before,
mods/ambassadors don't read every post, some of the moderation is due to reports received.
If you have an issue with a post report it.

I suspect the mods react to reported posts only, as the reactionary swivelly eyed Nigels largely rule the N, P & E Forum, unless you're on message with the whole Male rights, Brexit, Pro Trump, Global warming denial, pro Trump, flat earth thing then you'll get reported. And you'll get called a snowflake if you they do allow you the privilege of expressing your opinion. You're best off just getting on with your life, the news section of these forums has been long ruined.
