I was sitting in the garden with a nice glass of red, about half an hour ago, reading my newly acquired James Holland book about D-day(superb book by the way),when I heard the unmistakable sound of a Merlin engine-He was about a quarter of a mile from my house-looked like he was over Oughtenhead common, doing numerous loops and rolls for a good ten minutes-fking fantastic!!!!
Even mrs And31 was impressed.
Whoever it was-thank you very much made my Saturday!!!!

I used to work right next door to RAF Henlow and about once a year we'd get treated to a Spitfire 'beating up' the airbase.

Did this one have invasion stripes by chance?
