X-Trail ventilation issue - weird
Discussion
On holiday in France in our ‘15 Tekna and have a strange issue with the ventilation system. After maybe 30-45 mins driving the volume of air being provided gradually reduces to nothing, even with the fan on full blast. I thought at first it could be a cabin filter issue so removed that temporarily but that hasn’t resolved it. When the issue occurs I have removed
the cover of the cabin filter and there’s plenty of airflow coming from there.
It’s as though the computer gradually shuts all the internal vents to prevent any outflow.
Has anyone experienced similar or have any ideas, 32 degrees with no ventilation is not especially fun!

Is your AC set to auto?
If so it will automatically regulate the flow and temperature of air to where it is required to maintain temps as set.
Doesn’t make a difference what the setting is, manual with max fan gives you no output whether you select vents, feet or screen or any combination. You sit there dripping with zero ventilation. All you can do is open the windows. If so it will automatically regulate the flow and temperature of air to where it is required to maintain temps as set.
Although I'm not suggesting this is the problem you're having, we had a problem last year when the AC compressor wouldn't turn off properly and iced up.
Symptoms were exactly the same as what you're describing, we'd get about 20 minutes in and the air flow would stop. We did notice a pool of water one day after returning to the car in the hotel car park, but the next morning we looked when parked at a service station and found a big block of ice. Had to remove the clutch plate and make do with air flow which was better than nothing.
