Anyone removed their own skin tag?

I've got this ugly little spud hanging under my left tricep area. Nothing dodgy looking or dark in colour etc. just an ugly little punch bag about the size of a small pea. I thought I might tie a piece of cotton tight around it in the hope it'll just drop off in a couple of weeks. Any thoughts?

All I do know is that Boots sell a skin tag removal kit but I have no idea whether it’s just a posh version of what you’re planning on doing.

I had a couple try to grow in on my neck. I literally yanked them off, but they were tiny. I think i twisted a larger one off once but i can't remember, no thread needed, I just twisted it to kill off bloodflow and it fell off the next day.

Nail clippers are an effective fix.

I was having a lump cut out of my scalp recently and the doctor said he would do a tag hanging off my eyelid at the same time, stung like fk.

My Mrs said that i wouldn't feel a thing and not to be such a big girls blouse about it.

He injected anaesthetic into the eyelid and left it for a few minutes before gripping the bloody thing with his tweezers and asking if I could feel it? fking feel it, it was agony.

Lots more liquid injected so it was in my eye and running down my neck and it went numb enough to cut it off and cauterize the hole.

He then showed me the rubber glove on his hand and explained that he had to be careful not to rip open the eyelid by poking the needle through the rubber and ripping a hole in it.

OK now though.

Cut a small mole off with nail clippers a few years ago. It just grew back, although not as big!

Nail clippers if really small.
Sewing thread tied around if a bit larger as the large ones can bleed for quite a while if just cut off.
The kit I have used is a series of small elastic bands which replace the sewing thread. Easier to use if you are single!

Yeah. Some of them bleed a lot some don't. I have scars on my right arm from cutting some off as a kid in school. I don't know why but I am prone to them. I hate them.

I tried the cotton thing once but it didn't work and just seemed quite painful. Cutting them off has never been much bother.

give em a little sizzle , it slightly stings but nothing to worry about , the area just goes black and falls off over a few days , i done several and it works great

Ordered one of those to give it a go.
I've got a few under my arms that I want to get rid of. I've had a large one on my back removed by my then GP but the current practice I'm with only do small surgeries occasionally so there'd I'd have to wait a while.

^ theres a few youtube vids which i feel are wrong ...they seem to keep burning away until it comes off , id suggest you just blacken the area where it attaches then it will die and drop off , can always give it another go if theres still a slight bump a week later

GP did mine with liquid nitrogen. Freezing it kills the blood flow and it falls off naturally in about a week. Painless and quick.

Yes. I had one on my stomach last year. I had a scalpel at home so I used tweezers to hold it out a bit then cut it off. It bled for ages though.

I noticed a couple more so went to a skin clinic and they burnt them off as I couldn't get to them myself. The burnt ones haven't come back 6 months later but the one I cut off did. Next time I'll go back to the skin place and get it done properly.

Get the elastic band kit off the internet. Tiny little bands with an applicator kit.
On for a week then just fall off.

I cut a mole off once, when I was younger. I recall it hurt a lot, and bled, a lot. I'm not sure I'd do that today. I only have two though.
