You'll just need a power adaptor

I meant just a US > UK plug adaptor, available in most electrical shops.

However, you'll probably find that you won't use the charger much. the newest iPods charge from the firewire when you connect it to the pc.

You don't even need an adaptor - you can take the 2 pin plug bit off the adaptor to reveal a standard 2 prong AC power socket. If you have an old DVD/Vidoe/etc. player cord with the figure of eight type plug on you can use that

It does work as it's what my brother does on the iPod I got him from the States.

confirms it works

For the sake of a few dollars, the US adaptor is cleaner and gives you added option to the USB

Other bits to consider if you're out there is the I-trip and in car charger

Just bought one in Singapore. Great piece of kit. Paid £127 for the 6GB which is a substantial saving!

Bought mine in New York... all you need is a standard figure of 8 power lead to plug into the charger. Probably a quid from your nearest market.

I think the European ones are also limited for volume (though could be wrong on that).

Go for it - you'll love it.
