My 2010 BMW 320D seems to be leaking diesel from the front passenger side. Rac are on the way, anyone any ideas what the hell could have caused that? There's a fair bit come out, only when I'm driving though.

If it's only when it's running, I'd guess it's from a high pressure feed pipe.

I had similar on a petrol Mondeo and it cost £45. All depends where it's located and what's broken. We had 2 possibilities, a £45 part or a £250 part, fortunately and very unlike my luck, it was the £45 part.

Its the breather pipe that's split. Only had the car a month 🙄

Unfortunately that's the pitfalls of buying a used car, you can never be 100% sure that everything is in a reliable condition. A seemingly excellent condition car might have something like this issue, but then another person might buy what seems like a complete stbox and never have any issues at all.

Hopefully your only issues from now on will be "st, i need new tyres" or "dammit, it needs and oil service". Happy motoring

Plenty of new BMWs have niggles too.

A breather pipe is probably one of the cheapest to fix.

I very much doubt that was a supplier issue. It sounds like it was damaged during assembly, or during a repair/service. Pictures?

Hi guys. Not really sure what caused it but the pipe has split. Cost £95 for the garage to fix so happy days. Thought I was in for a big bill
