Yep - I'll be there.

I'm taking some guests round on passenger laps for some of the day - but the rest of it I'll be trying to put in a few quick ones...

Every year I look at the cost, bin the idea, and book on to at least two other PCGB days instead.

But Silverstone is the big one. Some years it simply has to be done.

Yeeeehah!

Yes - but at least you know who you're sharing the circuit with. I have generally found PCGB members to be competent and courteous on track.

Yes you get the odd fumbling novice who, seemingly, can't use his mirrors - rarely does one find the opposite knobber monstering the car in front...

Sure the accident record isn't perfect - but it is very good.

And the social side as people chat is nice at PCGB days too.

So all in all I'm not too upset at £325 - especially as, since its a PCGB day, my road cover policy covers it too. Value!

that is good! who are you insured with? i just changed my policy to bickley insurance so that i could get track days covered, but for each track day there is an extra cost of £150 odd - even if the track day is organised by pcgb!!!

perhaps i could consider your crowd for next year... the way things are going i'm going to be spending a small fortune in the extra track day cover...

I'm going on this one too. I generally stick to PCGB days as well, as my insurance (with R+SA through Performance Marque) covers them at no extra cost. Classic policy (it's a 15 year old 964) for £412 so I can afford to spend a bit extra on trackdays. Going to Castle Combe the week before, and Goodwood at the end of August.
