MIllion quid watch swiped
Discussion
Really? In a world that has obscenities like the rich kids of instagram and that absolute vulgarity of a steering wheel covered in Rolexes in another thread, you think it’s far-fetched that some 22 year old rich kid has a million quids worth of watch?
He’s lucky he was just mugged and not held for ransom.

Yep strange story - 22 year old with a million euro watch

Or perhaps it’s this woman’s son.

Wonder if the thief knew the value of the watch and how rare it actually is? I'd imagine it probably be pretty difficult to offload considering the rarity of it? Like even if you had the money to buy it on the black market, what happens when the watch needs a service? Wouldn't RM get it in their workshop and be able to see the SN and know it's the stolen one and then return to its original owner?

It would sell for a fraction of its worth to a scuzzer who would likely never get it serviced. So just because he's only 22 it must be an insurance job or it's not real?? Maybe his parents have worked hard and it was bought as a gift for him. To be honest I haven't read the full story but the press make up what like so you can take it all with a pinch of salt. But on the other hand if someone on here bleats on about having the crappy old whatever worth a few grand taken everyone seems to care about it? Bit of the old green eyes me thinks. Oh and by the the photo of all the watches on a steering wheel is so photo shop even I can see that and I can't even tell you what photo shop is!! Lol

I very much doubt anyone from Azerbaijan who owns £1m watch (regardless of their age) will have ''worked hard'' to accumulate that level of wealth.I've never understood the appeal of Richard Mille, but the problem of wearing an expensive watch of any sort is a worry with the scum who are allowed to roam our streets these days. I bought myself a Rolex GMT Pepsi from Watchfinder for £3700 4 years ago as a daily, now the same watch is around 10K retail and I worry. Last year I bought a Breitling Colt Chrono, to wear as an everyday which is far less valuable. Maybe they'll be an even cheaper R Mille on eBay soon........

Here you go, just £1,500 reduced from £228,427. What could possibly go wrong?

I see Ebay have taken it down, they are fairly hot on obvious fakes these days. He was probably inspired by the Arthur Daly quote, " You get out of life what you put in Terry, or a bit more if you can find a couple of mugs". But, I agree, you would have to be a weapons grade mug to pay £1500 for that.
