****ing fuming is an understatement!

I can empathise having been in the same situation. I hope the Police manage to turn something up. With battery grinders locks/anchors etc almost seem like a total waste of time I hate to say. It probably takes you longer to fumble with keys and unlock it yourself than it does for them to grind through.
Since being turned over we’re all belled up with CCTV and all sorts of other security measures, just to make it as difficult and unattractive as possible. Trackers would probably be the best bet but it’s such a travesty, we shouldn’t need to go to these lengths, the laws should be toughened up to be enough of a deterrent.
When we were done the Police follow up was dreadful, no looking at local CCTV footage, I had to literally badger the s
t out of them to fingerprint the car when it was found smashed up a few hours later. Never heard anything. We had a work van stolen last year and again, not a follow up/nothing from the Police
, and then again, even when they do catch them the law lets them off with nothing that reflects the damage and anguish caused.
That said, a friend was turned over recently and he had a tracker, his car led them to bring down a whole bunch of thieves and find a load of other vehicles, so sometimes the feckers get caught but it’s a rarity it seems.
Sorry for your situation.

That's really terrible to hear. I know how it feels when people have taken things from your house. I ended up only keeping 1 bike to limit what could be stolen because of it.
Insurance will need to sort it out now. There wasn't really anything more you could do with regards to security. Maybe a good thing you were out if they're the sort to break into garages and cut locks.

I'm steaming like you wouldn't believe right now! Just the thought that people have been in my garage used MY tools to help steal my two bikes that i've worked so hard for! I'd been really looking forward to a day at brands GP on Tuesday coming and now I don't have a single bike so thats not going to happen!
Even if i do get a payout the thought of it happening again is very off putting already
It's going to be a pretty big claim so god knows what my next premiums will be like!

Can you send an email to the trackday organisers and see if you can cancel the booking? Maybe they can let you cancel it or sell the ticket to someone else if it's a popular track day? Even if it's not refundable, if they know the bikes are stolen maybe they can do something to help.Even if i do get a payout the thought of it happening again is very off putting already

I know it's not what you wanted to happen, but it's worth trying to reduce your financial loss because of this.
Understand your pain, on my 3rd bike now but my previous 2 were stolen. Fortunately my insurance claim was straight forward, hopefully will be for you too.
Previous 2 bikes were stolen despite being chained, covered, 'secure' underground gated entrance/exit, CCTV and a security guard. I don't even live inside the M25, just no stopping some thieves =[
