Today, in FP2 all three top teams had major moments with cars leaving the track. Both Bottas and Verstappen took session ending damage - whilst Vettel was supremely lucky to avoid hitting the barriers and also ruining his car.

This is interesting, because if any more such events occur, it will start to seriously eat in to the affected drivers race preparations - or could take them out of qualifying.

It's a slim chance indeed, but possibly the best chance this season of enough disruption to see a new team on the podium.

The weather tomorrow is the same as it was today. The weather for the race is looking to be considerably hotter - that, plus the tracks elevation is going to impact performance and put a serious demand on cooling. Any car that doesn't have a cooling solution for this track and this weather is going to be vulnerable, or at least be forced to run a lower engine mode than they would wish. The tyres will also behave differently than at any other track so far this season.

So what do we think? A shock result at last? And if there is a new team to make the podium, who do we speculate is best placed here? smile

Big Al.
