Sweating my balls off
Discussion
I hate the heat.
Has anyone got any tips for dealing with sweat? I've got a roll on deodorant that works well under my arms (it does ruin my tops though!).
I just seem to sweat all over! Head, back of my knees. Although it doesn't smell (my family are very honest!), I just feel gross. Changing my tops a number of times a day.
Roll on the winter!

I also sweat a lot and very easily when most people aren’t.
I found that when I did the slimming world diet (low fat and low carbs) my sweating markedly reduced to the point where it wasn’t a problem. Off the diet again the sweating is back.
Try slimming world!
Funny enough I've started Slimming World on Tuesday!I found that when I did the slimming world diet (low fat and low carbs) my sweating markedly reduced to the point where it wasn’t a problem. Off the diet again the sweating is back.

Opposite - I LOVE the warm and sun. Decent deodorant no probs. Has anyone got any tips for dealing with sweat? I've got a roll on deodorant that works well under my arms (it does ruin my tops though!).

I bloody HATE the damp, rain, cold and winter (don't mind snow, in fact I like it, just not when it melts!), always been like that.
I got winter payback a couple yrs back with the onset of Raynaud's syndrome - my fingers started to go numbish, then last year it got worse, even if I stay too long in the cold area of a supermarket - wtf am I on about, supermarkets are now cold everywhere inside them!
Earlier this year as I was queuing in Waitrose I had a job getting my change sorted, and the till operator spotted my problem immediately and said 'Raynauds?' I said 'yeah, it's come on gradually over the last couple yrs or so. She said there's a young staff member in the store who has it. I said what do you mean 'young?' She said it's actually her birthday today, 19! I thought bloody hell, it's bad enough at my age (50 yrs in advance of that!) let alone having that in front of you for life.
Then I discovered 10 million people suffer Raynaud's in the UK, that's a sizeable chunk of the population. Some have awful pain and I've seen some chronic cases, luckily mine in nothing like severe, it's just getting the fingers (tops) back to life, a bloody inconvenience. Once I do get the life back in them, it's fine. Nonetheless, I bet all Raynaud's sufferers are loving this current sun and warm. Like me!
Sod the cold!
I was one of those people who wore t-shirts until it snowed and sweated quite a lot. Removed alcohol and carbs from my diet, lost lots of weight and now don't sweat at all.
Although it is now quite annoying as I have to think about what I wear if it is going to be 'slightly chilly' which at the moment for me is less than 20c it seems. I was in Maylasia last week and I actually wore a hoodie to go out to the market (as opposed to the T-Shirts and shorts everyone else was wearing). It's a whole new world ....

Get fitter
The sweatiest people I've known have been very skinny, fit, people. Quite. I am very fit ( not skinny, but 11%bf and athletic muscular) and sweat a lot. Its just how I am made .
I was sweating just sat in the garden earlier!
In some ways, I see it as a positive- well-working cooling system and toxins expelled as well!

My wife suffered Raynauds badly when we first met. She was late 30's and had the problem for years. Went in for an op to remove some nodes/nerves near her spine. Simple op, in a couple of days. That was 16 year ago, never suffered since.I bloody HATE the damp, rain, cold and winter (don't mind snow, in fact I like it, just not when it melts!), always been like that.

My mate Dave at Uni was a triathlete and into single figures of fat. At discos he used to sweat so much he looked like he'd just showered in his clothes. But for some reason that I never fathomed he pulled any woman he wanted whilst looking like that.
I used to work with a very competitive Ironman triathlete, he was also very slim and sweaty.. but only from one armpit! One side of his shirt could be dripping wet and the other bone dry.
