Just got an email to say Creative Audio are closing down due to Dave retiring, bit disappointing, I've been using them for about 16 years and their prices and service has always been top notch.

Have to confess to say I was aware of them but have made more use of Richer Sounds over the years.
Did find this read interesting though: http://www.creative-audio.co.uk/ABRIEFHISTORY.php
A walk back in time, well written!
Surprised he hasn’t decided to sell the business on.

That was a great read, didn't realise Audio Express was theirs too, pretty sure I've bought a number of things through them on Amazon.

I received the notification too. Sad, but pleased it's because he's chosen to retire. Good for him.

These sorts of goods aren't regular purchases for me, but if ever I was thinking of buying something Hi-Fi flavoured, I always checked their site first, so I will miss them.

That’s a shame. I’ve bought a few bits and pieces from them over the years and always tried to champion them on here. Superb product knowledge/advice and excellent customer service from a proper old school bricks and mortar hifi shop. Always seemed more interested in selling you the right thing rather than the most expensive thing. Prices were always keen too, more than competitive with on-line offerings. The Shrewsbury showroom is based in a lovely old building.
