Skoda Fabia Mk 2 - Original Headlight Unit Replacement
Discussion
Hello,
How do I find a Skoda OEM Fabia Mk2 right hand headlight unit? I have tried looking online and phoning car breakers; it seems I can find numerous 'aftermarket' headlight units, but not the original that I want.
I'm very new to working on my own car. The last industrial placement student I had at work broke cars as a hobby and we had a few in-depth chats about cars in general which I found enlightening, and he encouraged me to look into doing more work myself. I am concerned this question will seem obvious to people on this forum, but I feel as if I'm stuck in a rut!
I recently bought a new (old) house with a detached garage. When I tried to reverse up the sloped drive into it for the first time, I accidentally rolled forward and hit an awkwardly placed gate pillar, cracking my right headlight unit.
Although it's safe to drive I don't want my car to look scruffy. I bought a 2015 Skoda Fabia Mk2 with very good mileage last year, and intend to drive it until it falls apart.
My IP suggested that I phone up car breakers in the area, however none of them have a right hand-headlight unit.
I look forward to reading your replies, and getting to know this forum better in due course.
