Hi , I have just watched a video of someone taking out the diverter plate which is directly behind the side air vent grill claiming it gives better air flow do any of you more technical chaps think this is viable or would it just slow down the airspeed cheers

I removed mine and fitted a vflow induction kit.

More air in = better throttle response and bhp etc, but you then need to move that air out !
So I fitted a performance manifold with high flow cats.

My net result is a instant throttle a gain of 30bhp and a much more fun car to drive.

Doing it in isolation I guess pointless.
