New Vantage Options

Does anyone know which colours are Primary and Contemporary for the new Vantage ?

The online configurator just says either AM Palette or Q Palette. However, Zaffre Blue for example is a £6,995 Q colour on the Vantage, even though it appears in the AM Palette ? I also know that Morning Frost isn't a Primary or Contemporary colour either.

I know I said I wouldn't, but the Vantage is growing on me (in the right colour), and as I'm still on the hunt for a new DD, I've found myself strangely drawn towards it (as well as other options), however not knowing exactly what colours and options cost what, make it very difficult to price.

Also, does anyone know why the Carbon Badges apparently cost £4,995 ? Surely that must be some kind of pack and not genuinely five grand for two CF badges

Your local dealer should have a breakdown of which paint colour falls into each section. In recent times there's been some changes, with things like Tungsten Silver being discountinued and Magentic Silver becoming a standard colour, and Xenon Grey taking over from Ceramic Grey, as some examples.

On the badges, the machine carbon pack will also change the Aston Martin script on the boot to carbon. It's a chunk of money, but not quite as much as the gold badges on the Lagonda Taraf, they were £30k...each (gurt big chunky gold ones).

Obviously we all have very different tastes, but I am afraid carbon badges have no appeal for me. How can they be worth £2,500 each, and that price is actually even higher, because presumably it also means forfeiting the traditional badge?

The normal enamelled badge looks beautiful, and is painstakingly crafted by a very long established firm. A carbon badge tends to remind me, of how an enamelled badge might look on a 'barn find', after being stored outside for 50 years.

I’m not convinced the carbon badges are that expensive when specced from new, admittedly this is a DBS spec/price list but I wouldn’t expect Vantage prices to be that much difference, if anything they should be less as I’d guess at this includes the wing and bonnet vent badges.



Still a lot of money, and I prefer the normal badges.

I just find the whole mish mash or what's what a bit confusing, mainly because the AML configurator should make it simple...and it doesn't.

Why on earth they need 6 different prices for paint is a bit crazy. What's the difference between Q Special and Q Exclusive for instance ? I assume the Special is for things like Morning Frost, but I don't really know.

Primary - £0
Contemporary - £1195
Special - £3495
Q Special - £3995
Q Exclusive - £6995
Q Satin - £10995

I also understand there's another level where you basically pick anything you want, so a one off colour made for you, which will be circa £15k

As for the badges, it's 100% £4995. I guess it includes the Aston Martin letters on the back, but even so, that's madness.

@ NFC - The Taraf gold ones are madness too, but I guess if someone can afford a Taraf then the badges are probably within reach too

If this is indeed true, then perhaps the answer is, because they have discovered they can.

Maybe it's extra to have carbon badges but the Aston Martin bootlid script deleted

I really don’t get some owners objection to the Aston Martin boot script, especially when those same owners presumably have no issue with having for example, V12 Vantage S or Vanquish scripting on show.

I like the script too but I would love the Union style red/white/blue badge over a carbon one.

Is there a list of colours corresponding to the prices? I'm curious, my car is Hammerhead Silver.
