Best used SUV £25k - £30k
Discussion
Looking for some help and advice on used diesel suv . Have a budget of around £25-£30k and will be doing 25,000 miles a year. So thinking was buying something used one up to 5 years old with under 30,000 miles on it and keeping it for 2 years
Just wondering which of the ones I am thinking of would be the Best Buy and make the most financial sense (mpg, running costs, depreciation)
Top 3 are
Porsche Cayenne
Jaguar F - pace
Alfa stelvio

Just started looking this weekend.
Alfa - interior felt really cheap. Not a nice place inside. Shame as wanted to like it.
Jaguar and Porsche seemed nicer. Also impressed with the XC60/90 too when looking. Might be worth adding to the list.
Also just over £30k potentially a new shape RR from a main dealer, which will have a 2 year warranty. Which from what you'll read on forums you'll need!

I have a V90 at the moment and it’s great 🤔 might be worth considering the XC90 , I suppose X5 should have also been on the original list Alfa - interior felt really cheap. Not a nice place inside. Shame as wanted to like it.

Many thanks for other suggestions but had looked at all of them before running them out for various reasons
I want to like the Alfa but had a feeling the interior would be a let down , if I was to concentrate of these 3 then all of them would be about £30k to buy with 30,000 miles on them
2015 Porsche Cayenne S diesel https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
2016 Jaguar F - pace 3.0 v6 diesel S https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
2016 BMW X5 30d Msport https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201...
Which would be the best bet for running for 2 years and adding 50-55k miles on ?
Reliability & servicing / depreciation / mpg
Thanks

You'll be very lucky to get a good Cayenne that fits your criteria for your budget if you want one then you'll either have to stretch the budget or go for the Touareg R Line Plus as they're essentially the same car underneath.
With this size & weight of vehicle I'd always be looking at a 3.0d so for me that means the F Pace is off the list, ll be less stressed & suits this type of car better, so that leaves you with the X5 which is no bad place to be spending the next two years in, I'd go for a 7 seat one as that'll help come resale time.

Volvo XC60? Boot should be big enough, I'd think.
£25K should get top spec 67-plate older model,
New models are dipping under £30K

To keep it fair comparison I changed the f-pace to the 3.0 v6 diesel didn’t even realise they did a 3.0 diesel thought it was only a 3.0 petrol 9n the F-paceWith this size & weight of vehicle I'd always be looking at a 3.0d so for me that means the F Pace is off the list, ll be less stressed & suits this type of car better, so that leaves you with the X5 which is no bad place to be spending the next two years in, I'd go for a 7 seat one as that'll help come resale time.

& I'd still take the 7 Seater X40d's for that money, or I'd get a Cayenne.
