As above.

Me, my Yamaha FZ-09, since 2014 when I started riding, so 5 years. I desperately want to keep it, but it's probably going to have to go soon to make way for another. Not sure how well it would SORN for years... (which would be my preferred choice, as it's not worth much, SWMBO says otherwise)

I've had my little Moto Morini Corsarino (50cc) since I was 14, so that's 24, nearly 25 years. I bought it to restore then use when I was 16 but a piston ring got broken and we couldn't get a replacement so it sat in the shed at my dads for years. I have it back at mine now and will get it running!

My dad bought my 63 Velocette Venom in 1992, but I only took over custodianship of it about 5 years ago.

Other than that, my dad has a 1928 AJS that he bought in about 1968 which I use too, so whilst I haven't owned it it's been around all my life. Same as the old Enfield sidecar outfit, dad bought that before I was born and my brother and I used to travel in it as babies in the early 80s. I use that now, will be out on it on Saturday and hopefully it'll be left to me one day so I can continue the family ownership of it smile

Since I got my licence in 2011 I've had my trusty old '99 plate CBR600F. The engine blew (my fault entirely) so It's been SORN'd for about 4 years or so now since remedial work, but is now sat patiently waiting to go.

Once my finance deal ends on my new bike, I think I'll go back to the old girl for a while. I'm not normally the sentimental type for vehicles, but I suspect I'll never sell it. A lot of me ended up in bike.

But that will wipe clean of course.

Bought in 2011 with 8,000 miles on the clock. Just ticked over 26,000 last night.
I mainly use this for going commuting now but still love it, would never part with it.

Standard apart from exhaust and brembo rcs19 on it. Sadly there is little in the way of tasteful mods avaliable now.

I've had my Thunderace since 1996 when it was 6 months old.

Hasn't turned a wheel under power for several years now but I had it running last summer and all the fairings are newly-painted and awaiting fitting, so it will see the road again at some point. It gets lost amongst all the other bikes but as above I doubt I'll ever sell it.

My 2007 R6, bought new. Still got it so thats 12 years. Its now my commuter on 45k miles.
I did own an R1 from new for 10 years, which also ended up my commuter on which I racked up 97k miles. Then it got stolen...

I bought my ZX-6R F3 new in '97 and used it regularly (until ~30,000m) until personal circumstances led me to put it on SORN and in storage around 4 years ago. No reason a light recommission wouldn't bring it back to life.

A Harley VRod VRSCF bought in Jan 2012 as a present to myself for being fit enough to ride again (after more than 2 years off work post RTA) cant see myself getting rid of it as I find it comfy for all day riding on holidays and the other half likes to ride pillion on it. Done nearly 30k miles now (have other bikes too to spread the mileage around)

Triumph T595 Daytona in Strontium yellow - purchased in 2000 still got it and still use it

blew the engine about 8 years ago (my fault out of oil ) and at the time couldnt find anything I would rather own, bought a later one that had been down the road and transfered engine and ECU over put bork'd engine in the donor bike and almost got back what I paid for it (declaring everything)

been round Europe on it and love it and it could still pass for a year or so old if you didnt know anything about bikes

I'm very flakey with cars (probably owned close to 60 over the years ) but cant see the bike going anywhere

I think the longest was my thunderace at 2.5 years but it spent a year broken after I smashed it up at Cadwell.

Joint longest would be my CBF125 that I got when I was 17. Sold at 2.5 years old and 32k miles on the clock.

The bike i have owned the longest is the current which is my KTM SM950 R had this 4 years now. Its the longest ownership of any vehicle I have purchased be it car or bike.

Just cant seem to part with it, even after bike shopping numerous times.

If you like it that much, why sell it?

KTM 690 Duke, I had it 5 years.

I really didn't want to sell it, but the abysmal reliability forced me to. I would have done over 50,000 miles on it, but only managed 33,000.
