Warning about current PH ads

I have been advertising my 1982 911 Targa for nearly 2 months on PH. I haven't had a single call, even from people asking "what's your best price for cash today mate?". I hadn't really thought much about it until this morning. Maybe I'm being optimistic about the price? Maybe the market has completely dried up?

I decided that I need to do something drastic to sell the car, so I dropped the price by 10% this morning.

I thought that I'd check the 'phonesafe' number provided by PH and it didn't work!!! No wonder I wasn't even getting the usual scam calls.

This is just a friendly warning for anyone using the 'phonesafe' facility on PH to check that the number is connected to your phone line, in order to avoid the wasted 2 months of potential customers.

I now need to decide whether to put the price back up!

I hope that PH see this post as useful and don't delete it.

Did the option to 'contact seller' on the listing work? I often make first contact by email ii I'm interested in a vehicle, so anybody interested who couldn't get through by phone would surely try this?

Freaking finally! Phonesafe is a stupid antiquated and outdated system that is just not needed and rapes the buyer.
