Evening all,

I’ve done a fair bit of background reading and think I’ve come up with a plan but would like to run it past the knowledge people of this forum.
Both my wife and I have £20,000 each to invest in an ISA. This will be a one off investment probably not added to until at least 5 years time. We don’t need access to the money until 15-20 years plus.

I’m thinking of using iWeb for the platform and splitting mine between the following four funds:

UK: 6% - HSBC FTSE All Share Index Fund Institutional (GB0030334345) – OFC 0.02
EM: 10% - iShares Cores MSCI Emerging Markets IMI ETF (EMIM) – OFC 0.18
Global: 74% - L&G International Index Trust I (GB00B2Q6HW61) – OFC 0.13
Small Caps: 10% - L&G Global Small Cap Index Fund (IE00BG0VVG79) – OFC 0.2

Giving a weighted ongoing charge of 0.1354.

My wife would prefer more sustainable (ESG) funds. So I was thinking of a split between these two:

EM: 10% - iShares MSCI EM IMI ESG Screened UCITS ETF – OFC 0.18
Global: 90% - Xtrackers ESG MSCI World ETF (XZW0) OR iShares MSCI World ESG Screened UCITS ETF – both OFC 0.2
(These are relatively new funds so the fund size is quite small, how big a concern should this be?)

Thoughts welcome on this strategy, have I overlooked anything?
I have to say the platform fees are quite confusing as to the total I will pay so found it difficult to compare. Both will be a one-off investment held for the long term.
