This year and as we usually do we went into Le Mans town after the race to enjoy a relaxing evening with some beer and food. The difference this year we were staying in Bleu Nord. Previous years we have been in Beausejour. This created a challenge in getting back to the campsite as it appeared they closed up the entrances to the track. We did manage to blag our way in at one of the entrances but I think we will not be so lucky in future. Am I missing some obvious route from Antares? Should we get off a stop earlier and walk?

The Tertre Rouge gate should be open if you get off at the stop before

Rather than going all the way to Antares get off a stop early at Guetteloup, just before you go under the ring road at Tetre Rouge. From there you can walk along Avenue du Panorama, which brings you out opposite Expo. Hook a left and walk down past the main entrance to Nord.

Similar thing for us. Staying in Houx. Drove over to Arnarge for a bit at midday and started to head back around 1.30. We had access to one of the garages right by the podium so were keen to get there for the finish but by 2.00pm the exodus had started. We did make it but required a bit of rapid left lane driving much to annoyance of the gate marshals at Houx!!

Worth the earful though.....
