2 tooth plate / parital denture options ?

Due to a 10 year old dental implant failing (now removed) and the tooth next to it being extracted (in error as we thought this was the tooth causing the issue - it wasn't), I now have a large two tooth gap on the top teeth its UL5 and UL4. I don't want the gap filled with implants as I've lost a bit of confidence in them, also there is no guarantee if I did fill the gap with implants I wouldn't get the same issue I had with the one I had removed.
So this leaves me with the option of partial denture or 2 tooth plate, are there places that specialise in dentures also what's the tech like these days for them, is it the case the more you spend the better it will be, I know nothing about dentures ? I don't really want something that has clips on other teeth, ideally in my mind I have an image of something pink latex / rubber that has the two teeth on that I could just put in the gap and hold there with polly grip or something that feels natural, does that kind of thing exist ?

The kind of thing you imagine doesn’t really work. Too easy to inhale it. Google “Nesbitt” dentures for examples.
There are basically three types of partial denture, acrylic, cast metal or a sort of bendy plastic called Valplast.
All acrylic are the cheapest, the other 2 are more expensive and about the same cost.
The clasps clip things are generally there to support the denture, and put chewing loads through other teeth, rather than the gums which aren’t designed to take that kind of load. They don’t “wear out your teeth” that’s an old wives’ tale.

Yes its the Nesbitt / Valplast design I had in mind, would you advise against them then ? I wouldn't be wearing it too much mainly work or I have an event. The clasps on cast metal partial I guess I would have to one around the tooth infront of the gap, would that be visable ? I wouldn't mind trying both but Im seeing prices of £650 + just for a 2 tooth valpast / nestbitt.
