Cheap, too cheap to be true

Looking at a cheapo MTB 29er to use for commuting in Manchester

Was looking at Gumtree and eBay for them

And then this Marin turns up at Chain reaction for £299

Was not able to find any info on but a reddit post seems to think its a really Bobcat 4 bar the front derailleur and tyres

if you're commuting on roads alone then either get a hybrid or a road bike. if you plan on doing some off road riding too then I'd opt for a decent second hand bike as both of these have very basic components. if you have no idea on bike mechanics then opt for a 1x 10 or 1x11 as less to go wrong.
