There’s been rumours of 25 UK road versions for a while. May have died a death due to factory closure and issues complying with new emissions regs for regular GT models

I'll reserve judgment, but yes, 'muted' (or filtered) was how I perceived it. May just have been the recording.

A lot of the sound change is down to exhaust exit positioning and routing.
WRT, to positioning, Twin centre give a naturally higher pitch from the flat six.
The further the exits are apart, the lower the pitch.

Very good point T. Separating the exits will make it sound 'flatter'.

I ought to know that. On the Rover V8 engined TVRs, it always amazed me how the single exit wedges sounded different to the wider-spaced Griffiths and Chimaeras.

The last one (legendarily) louder for sure but there is a good reason for that. The old car was struggling to make enough power due to it's restrictive exhaust design (packaging reason I suppose) but they got a dispensation from ACO/IMSA to run unsilenced, thus we had ridiculously nice sounding RSR's in the outgoing generation.

Yes the previous generation is incredibly loud. It was the loudest car at Le Mans IMO (including all the LMP cars)

Are you sure about that? Meaning not making enough power. As I understand it with BoP regs they all make around 500hp and the road car is making more than this with proper silencing. An unrestricted RSR will make much more than this
