If you are you a fing wr!

Not content with nearly hitting me when you overtook the car in front of you as you pulled out to overtake, when I then hit the horn and flashed my lights at you.(yep I was angry) you then proceeded to commit what I think his the biggest faux paus when it comes to driving - THE BRAKE TEST! (Wr!)

I'm glad i'd backed well away from you as you were in an SL350 and I was in a Mk3 Golf (mmmm.... I wonder who has better brakes!)

So you fk up by nearly hitting me then do a brake test. Nb!!!

PS. If you're reading this reading this you could have brought the proper SL not the hairdresser 350 you were driving this morning.

And chill..............

(Sorry to moan but I think the "brake testing" some people try and do is disgraceful and there should be some offence against it. Its downright dangerous, if there had been a car close behind me he would have gone right up the back of me.

Strange, it's normally old numpties who do that.

Mnd you, hooting and flashing can get the recipient in just as bad a mood as you are.

Yeah I know! I regret that bit, he was too close for comfort with the overtake and inserted himself in the space between me and the car in front that I was leaving as safe breaking distance. (About 2 car's length as we were accelerating off the roundabout)

I could quite happily kill and serve time for those who 'Brake test' you. Especially if it is for nothing more than making them aware that you are there and want to pass whilst they hog lane 2 with an empty lane 1 alongside.

Sorry mate, but it's your responsibility to maintain a safe distance from the car in front, regardless of how angry you are. It does sound like this bloke's a tit, but if you'd hit him from behind, it would have been squarely your fault.

That I know, i'd already backed away from him after the flashing lights/horn bit and let him get on with it guessing he was a bit of a tit. I actually thought he was stopping to have a go but just as quickly had he stopped he was off again tailgating the car in front. I actually caught up with later on when he was a steady 85 in the outside lane with nothing around him.

Fair enough, when the car is in front of you, but what was described here was someone who wasnt in front of him, cutting in and occupying the safe distance from the car in front of him that he did have.

Ram him... Ram him!!!!

Show him who's boss. Shove the of the road and make the world a better place for you and I. Prefferably into a ditch on a quiet road with no phone reception, so he'd have to walk for miles in his "fancy loafers" and stupid hair, and loike, oh my gawd, loike.

How do you know that? Do you think he was wondering why you didn't have a new R32?

Is it 'kosher' to quote the guy's plate on this thread? OK he may have done what you said but couldn't you have just left his plate out?

Pretty small chance he's one here TBH, and would he make himself known if he was?!

Yeah true. (Mods or Ted) If you want to delete all or some of the plate please do.

Saying that (and is doubtful) if someone does meet him on the road they have had fair warning or what he is capable of.

The bloke sounds like a t@wt of the first order.

Having said that I have to say that I have had to "squeeze" into a gap before no myself as I've been trying to over-take a line of cars all a mere 1-2 car lengths behind each other and not making any attempt to pass the slow one at the front. If this happens my practice is usually to raise the left arm and wave a thank you to the driver of the car I have just caused to drop back. Even if they do do the lights/horn/paddy thing.

Have to agree with the brake test point though - totally out of order. I have been guilty of grazing the middle peddle with left foot to show the idiot up my ar$e the lights, but not enough to slow my car down.

Hope you don't come across this bloke again, less you are in a Landrover

I'm not sure if this is totally true.

If someone cuts in front of you, and chucks out the anchors causing a crash it is their fault - not you for having a gap that is too small for them to squeeze into in the first place.

Doing a brake test is an offence. Its called dangerous driving but its difficult to prove. If you want to test it, go find a Police car on a motorway, cut him up and then do a brake test

I have got to the point now where if someone does a brake test in front of me while i'm driving my 'ows-ya-father car (the old 827) - I will hit them and write the car off. And when the cops ask I will tell them exactly what the guy did.

Maybe I should make a device with a pinhole camera that films the last 60 seconds on a loop

Twat brake tested me a while back on the A40, I'm in the middle lane giving way to traffic entering at the on-slip motoring along at 70mph (occifer). Numpty in mk3 golf joins carriageway and despite there being nothing in front of him, on inside lane, pulls out in front of me causing me to brake sharply so I flashed and the complete twting ct brake tested me whilst giving the bird.

Had to use every onze of self control to not run him off the road instead waited a mile and then motored past him giving it some coffee beans out the passenger window.
