Hi. I just went out for a run and the idle was running high. I’ve cleaned the stepper motor / idle valve and all is now well , although when I removed it the gasket fell apart.

I’ve managed to refit it with the gasket held together with silicon as a temporary measure but would like to replace it.

Any idea of where I could buy a replacement please without having to buy a whole new stepper motor which luckily I don’t need.

Many thanks for any advice. Best regards.

Think I just used to wrap ptfe tape round the threads tbh.

I used a rubber O-ring on mine then just did it it up finger tight. No problems and is re-useable.

Great thanks for your replies. I will tape it up until I get a O ring that fits. Best regards, Doug

So if instead of using PTFE and using an O-ring for the seal, am I correct in assuming that althought the stepper is repositioned in a very slightly different position that the ECU will self correct it's new position next time it gets powered up?

cool

My understanding is that the ECU resets the stepper motor when the ignition is turned on...if you listen carefully you can hear the whirring noise as it does so.
