Water in boot...

Ok it sounds daft but I think I've got water trapped in the boot lid. When I open it up I hear water rushing around :confused:

Anybody else have this? and if so should I drill a couple of drain holes?

Sounds very wierd.. I hadn't even appreciated there was much of a cavity in it.. !? I'd take it off and give it a shake.. if there is water in it it might well come out of the hinge bolt holes... A thought occurrs though, how the heck has water flowed uphill to get into it in the first place..

Wierd doesn't quite cover it...

Is the carpet easily removed from the lid..? Have a nose about in there...?

You're telling me, makes me want to pee every time I open the boot

It must have got in through the hinges, I'll have a look this aft, but IIRC there are cavities along the edges...but my memory is not what it was...

Can't you just drill a teensy hole in the front underside of the lid so that the water can drain into the channel around the boot?

Or perhaps there are already holes that are blocked.
