It's in the electrical part of the manual.

Can you see them when you remove the shroud underneath the steering column? There's a wingnut at the rear on the drivers wing, a 10mm bolt on the center tunnel then the front is velcrod. Remember the steering column control box is velcroed to this panel, so be careful of the wires.

If you're still struggling, just take the bolt out the steering column adjustment, disconnect a blue and black plug and disconnect the air vent pipe and ribbon cables - the whole lot comes out

The black lever that adjusts the steering column up/down in and out. You need a 10mm socket for teh bolt head on the lever side and a 12mm spanner for the nut on the other side. Undo the nut, pull out the bolt and the whole steering assembly comes away, steering wheel all still attached.

There's a small 3 pin black plug and a larger blue plug together just under the main dash, and the 5 way and 10 way ribbon cable going to the indicator control box. Then it's just the air pipe. The whole of the vent pops out to make it simple to disconnect the pipe, but on my car I have a smaller pipe going into a larger one so it just all came out without disconnecting.

Incidently, there is a setup mode fro the cancelation. I've never tried it but:

You press the two left hand buttons on the steering wheel and the right top button, all at the same time.

Both indicators should appear constantly.

if you then move the steering wheel past the indicator cancel on either side the corresponding light should go out.

This is used for resetting the indicator cancel sensors. To exit the set-up mode turn off the ignition

and I guess that you did put the steering wheel back on straight? From memory the micro switches are on a mounting you can undo screws and rotate.

Hum - Possibly you have a broken ribbon cable. There's a couple of short ones that run from the steering wheel down to a circuit board mounted on top of the end of the steering column, then another that connects from that to a control box velcro'd to the removable column cover.

Which might be why it works, then doesn't. Be worth keeping an eye on it.
