Hi Guys,

I have a 2006 vantage and live in New Zealand.
The car is currently running a European map and i'm looking to change it.
I have been to AM & Volvo NZ and they cannot help.

Can anyone help with another pointer please?
I don't use it, would be nice to and it bugs the life out of me..

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Gary. wink

Hey Wessa,

I live in Australia. I had the same challenge - the disc was very old when I got my DB9. I asked around and I was directed to the Volvo website where I purchased a disc for about $90 AUD. It just worked! I assume they'll be an NZ version.

I was going to post a link to a site where I got an updated disc for my V8 then realised they dont seem to do a disc with NZ maps on only europe. The new dvd when it came was a volvo one if that helps at all.

You try emailling them to see if they can help. The site was www.latestsatnav.co.uk

Double check that the whole car doesn't need it's ECU flashing too. My car came from Dubai and I had to have all the software updated before the EU discs would be accepted.

I have a global set of 2006 discs with my DB9, the sat nav is the same unit so no reason it won't be compatible. I may be able to copy the relevant disc to an ISO image and put it online for you to download and write to a DVD yourself. I can't promise this will work, but it won't cost anything.

I presume you are already aware that the system is rubbish compared to just using google maps or waze on a smartphone, but I suppose it's nice to know the built-in system is there if you need it.

Hey murphyaj,

If you do get time to do this then that would be a great help, well worth a try.
Yeah, i only use google maps on my phone whenever any where in the world but when im in the car, it would be good to have it there.

Thanks all for your replies, I will check out the links and give Volvo Aus a try too.

Hey Sean,

When i went to Volvo NZ, they said they they could not source one anymore and when they tried Aus some time ago they couldn't either.. They probably just put it in the too hard basket.. That's main dealers for ya eh..

Cheers, Gary.
