Spanish mortgage brokers

Hi all,

I’m looking for any recommendations for a broker (UK or Spain based) who specialises in getting mortgages for UK residents on a Spanish property?

My son is looking to buy a small house in Spain as a holiday home and as usual has asked me to help sort it out! Lol

I’ve tried asking the knowledgeable Sarnie, but it’s not something he can deal with as outside the UK, so I’m hoping for some other ideas / recommendations

Don't discount direct, you will often deal with english speaking call centres and the local branch for paperwork. La Caixa are geared up for it, also look at the other big names bbva, sol etc.

Its a long time since I sorted ours out but I got a better deal direct!

Thanks all for the comments, sorry for the delay in posting that!

Summary seems to be that funding the property through a uk bank is quicker and more efficient, but that the rates seem lower with a Spanish bank. Brokers in Spain and some in UK seem to want circa £500 upfront but some argue they get you a better deal..?
