Making use of my pre-Performance Pack intake manifolds
Discussion
Been sorting through all the bits and pieces we've had in storage now our new garage is finished, and found the original intake manifolds for the Vantage prior to its Performance Pack upgrade.

Don't think there is too much demand for them second hand, so decided to make a feature of them instead.
Inherited a fairly nice 3D printer at the start of the year, so figured would be a nice simple first project to make some spacers up so they don't get damaged against the wall or by the screws hanging metal on metal. Found a basic 3D modeller and made up a piece to fit snuggly in the holes I wanted to use to mount it.

Test piece fitted nicely - did then redesign it to a 2-piece design to hold it in place rather than needing to use a washer.

And up on the wall they go.

Going to try putting a bit of black outline around them to give them the shape of the Aston Martin badge to the edges, V in the centre, etc.
Bit naff, but beats having them sat on a shelf somewhere.

My bits and pieces are still stored at the dealer, they said they would offer the silencer to V8 Vantage owners, unfortunately they tried to install the silencer but some cars have an oil cooler so it didn't work out.
Anyway no takers for the original manifolds so I was thinking of making them a garage feature too.
I'd be interested in some spacers of yours if you can produce some more.
What would be the cost?

Hope you don’t mind me asking, but was that AM Bristol a couple of years ago? They tried to fit a V12S silencer to my then manual V8V but it didn’t fit due to the manual gearbox’s oil cooler. Still have the photo somewhere of it being stripped for that. In the end the de-cat did he job nicely,I don’t understand how the SSII gearbox doesn’t have an oil cooler and the manual does... (or so I understood).

Great dealer by the way.
I'm closer to Cannes but they have a bad reputation.

The SSII (and SS III) gearbox is air-cooled. I don’t understand how the SSII gearbox doesn’t have an oil cooler and the manual does... (or so I understood).
I tried to sell mine too, but buyer found it wouldn't fit his car - probably from you actually as Bristol had mine too and were going to fit it but then came back saying it wouldn't be possible as had run into the issue with another one.
Still have it and need rid of it really.

I've no idea if I'm honest - I got the plastic spool with the printer, so not really sure how much I used or the cost! Not really had time to look at it properly bar printing off some test piece a few months back, so used this as an opportunity to learn the basics and was surprisingly simple. What would be the cost?
Was printing them in pairs which took about 1.75hrs and, I just made up three per side and put them through the top bolt holes. At the bottom the locator pin (I think) that sticks out touches the wall so I just put a bit of neoprene tape under it so it doesn't scratch.
Sure I could print off another set and post them in return for a charitable donation though.
