Hey everyone,

So the doomsday is getting closer of my RS3 8v going, but the replacement is still undecided.
In a year of ownership of the RS3 I covered about 17000 miles and that is with restricting myself from going to a lot of places. I think it's too much mileage to put on car like RS3 taking in consideration the depreciation hit.

So I've decided to part with it, to get something a bit more comfortable, bigger, more of a cruiser.
Plus the RS3 has been annoying me lately, the only good thing about the car is the engine and exhaust, everything else is getting on my nerves. I loved it at first but not so much now.

For next car I'm thinking the budget of max about £23,000, something that has already taken most of the deprecation hit.

Due to these points I've decided to move on to another car, narrowed it down to following:
Audi A5 3.0TDI B8.5 Coupe
Audi S5 3.0TFSI Supercharged B8.5 Coupe
Audi A7 3.0BiTDI (facelift)
BMW 640D Gran Coupe

Would love to hear your opinions on these cars and possible other suggestions and why would you chose them??

Thanks

I would go with the S5.

But do you need diesel? Would another Audi be too samey? What annoys you about the RS3?

Well I do crazy amount of miles so diesel would be better in that sense but I don't need it per say.

Most annoying thing is ride quality and size, just feels like I've outgrown the hatchback stage of my life and want something more comfortable and bigger.

Yeah, makes sense.

Tough one, those big diesels are going to cost a fair bit to run/depreciate at 20k a year.

I'd probably take a BMW 3series over any of those cars listed.

Does it have to be a coupe?

I reckon I'd be going 435d or 440i - I had a 420i for a short period and it's actually quite roomy even compared ti it's bigger brother.

Or how about an E-class Coupe? E400 here for £23.5k:

(edited to add - why don't people wash their cars before advertising?)

I'd go for the A7 BiTDI. Great interior (slightly dated but high quality), drives quite well and V comfortable.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, thing is I had 435 convertible before the RS3 and I don't want to go back to it, realistically only BMW I would consider is the 640D gran coupe.

To be fair the only Merc I looked at was CL500 as it is a big body coupe in every sense of the word.

Would like to keep it 3 liters or above, not a big fan of 4 cylinder engines.

So far narrowed it down to A5 that's in Edinburgh and A7 BiTdi in Manchester, hopefully i can view as soon as I can get time off work.
