Or possibly your parents?

I bet the Volvo is still going!

If I could choose only one, I would probably pluck the E21 BMW out of the picture as I miss mine.

My Dad owned a Mini and an Allegro in same 'sandy' colour (but the 3 door estate) when I was a kid. I initially learnt to drive in a mk1 Fiesta too.

I would quite like the early VW Scirocco……

What year is the photo taken? 1977?

In that picture my parents had...

Triumph Toledo
Mk2 Cortina
A40 Farina
Mk1 Escort Estate
Mk2 Escort
Mini
BMC 1100/1300

And I’ve had a couple of Mk2 Escorts and a Mk3 Cortina

I reckon that picture is late 79 - there are a couple of V-reg cars which started in Aug 79 (I think...)

Feel old now, but someone will be along in a mo to say how they’ve owned many models shown, and learnt to drive in a new A40...biggrin

Was listed as 1980, but with "Give or take a year or two" added later.

I'd take the MK 1 Granada estate from that photo!

Even though my 1st car was a clapped out MK2 Cortina shed.

If it was 1978 then my RS2000 would have worked!

In the 1970s I had a Ford Cortina Mk 2, a Hillman Imp, a Mk 1 Mini, a Mk 1 Transit and a 1950's ambulance (which I lived in for 2 years whilst at Uni).

My first car was a blue HB viva, my second a sand coloured mini. I have probably been in an example of most of those cars.

Old man had a Dolomite (probably in 1980 smile) Father in law had MK1 Escort (which he gave to us), An Allegro, more beige than sand, and then a bright yellow Mk2 Escort. I can lay claim to two Avengers, neither with twin headlights though, and my wife had a Mini 1000 for nine years, including 1980.

Parents had Austin 1100, Mini, Allegro, Triumph Toledo (courtesy car!), Marina. edit - And just spotted the Escort estate as well.

I had a Fiat 127, albeit the facelifted version not the one in the pic.

I notice the Allegro on the right of the picture has a vinyl sunroof - luxury!

My first car was a white mk2 cortina.

I had lessons in a dolomite and passed my test (first time of course) in a dolomite sprint.

Mum had a couple of Renault 4. Dad had a Morris Marina. I, er, borrowed it one evening but rather annoyingly couldn’t keep up with my friend’s Father’s Toyota which he, by pure coincidence, had also.... borrowed.
