Martin Donnelly More Leg Troubles

Seems he was doing a charity Moped ride and fell off then had his "bad" leg broken as a following moped ran over it. Now in Hospital under threat of losing the leg.

I can't really agree on the chap driving him from Waterford to Norfolk. I don't believe there was no specialist at Mater hospital in Dublin.

But good luck to Martin I hope he keeps the leg.

That’s really unfortunate.
I was lucky enough to spend a day at Hethel with Donnelly as my instructor. He’s a real character. And an extraordinary driver, even with a leg that’s severely limited. I really hope they can save it, and he’s able to make a full recovery.

I once had the pleasure of him driving me around the Millbrook handling course in an Alfa 4C. Like with all these professional drivers it was utterly effortless, and he came across as a thoroughly nice, humble fella.

Ouch - He took me for test drive in a supercharged Evora on a soaking wet day near Stansted once.

He was mightily impressive as we slid around for 15 minutes on the country lanes before he chucked me the keys and said you have a go.
