Racing Green unveils Sagaris exhaust

TVR dealer makes overtaking more satisfying

The team at Racing Green TVR was hugely impressed by the TVR Sagaris, but something bothered them.

They felt that once you'd been overtaken by a Sagaris you should be treated to a far more powerful image, so they set about developing the Racing Green Sagaris Exhaust.

The designers and engineers at Racing Green drew design cues from the Sagaris' aggressive styling to create an exhaust which truly complements the car. The exhaust is manufactured to very high standards by the same specialist craftsmen employed to create many of today's Formula One exhaust systems.

Keeping the original centre silencer the Racing Green Sagaris Exhaust simply replaces the two original pipes with the newly designed, quad-pipe system to give this dramatic new look.

Racing Green TVR is now taking orders for the system, which retails at £795 inclusive of VAT and with free fitting.

Racing Green is based in Ash Vale, Hampshire, and services and sells Jaguars and Nobles, as well as TVRs.

I think they're stunning.

The photos show the design and basic shape, but its when you walk around the car that you see how they mould the back end so much better than the original silencers.

And...the original Sagaris cans at the dealer launch didn't have a seam of weld running round the circumference of the can about 4 inches from the edge...and looked pretty good. The latest Sagaris' have this seam, and IMO it really spoils the look.

The Racing Green ones really finish the car off. Hopefully, those visiting Thruxton this Sunday will be able to see for themselves, as I believe it'll be there.

i think they look great, quite in fitting with the slash cuts etc, i also think they look slightly like four mini typhon exhausts slightly elongated are these going to be much louder than the standard cans or are they there to look different?

Looks much better that the standard jobbie.

Oh, and that colour (green) is spectacular in today's sunshine!

They all look equally great, choosing is so so hard!

Too Chav for me. This exhaust jobbie is an overstatement. And it's delicate to add / change something on a car that is - well - not so deliate.

Great, until you get tailended and then they turn into spears as the GRP around them collapses. Just hope no biker ever goes into the back of one.

Agreed. Im not a fan tbh. Also what will they look like when they have black exhaust deposits all over them. Clean them some might say, but whats to stop the water collecting in a puddle at the bottom, slowly rusting the exhaust. It will evaporate with time, but doesnt seem all that sensible imho.

Aye to that - it looks like a right dog's dinner to me. On the other hand I *would* like to hear what they sound like...

I suspect it isn't doing much for the performance either (not that you'd really notice with one of these).

Don't like the originals and don't like those either I'm afraid.

In fact I just don't get this whole multi-tail pipe thing atall. If you have one 4:2:1 manifold at the front front then there's no need for more than 1 exhaust exit at the back. Likewise if you have a V8 (or a straight 6 with two 3:1 manifolds) then why the need for any more than 2 exits?

Of course, if you want to start on the road to a 6-drainpiped fully wikid Saxo...
