My friends and I competed in this years Red Bull Soapbox Race in Mr Bean's Mini complete with Bean in a chair on the roof! Thought you all might like to see the run. Still not sure how we survived!

Haha! Good going. Brave having the driver so high up, I wouldn't want to be there if it tipped over!

That's absolutely marvellous!!!

what's the spec underneath, coilovers/ independent suspension? There are some crazy almost over engineered soap boxes competing these days, I saw one that had maybe 8inches of Fox Racing suspension all round, hydraulic discs, rose jointed throughout it was better spec'd than a lot of Go Carts!!

Wishbones at the front and swing arm at the back, all with the cheapest bicycle springs from eBay and similar specced brakes which gave us some scares in testing! The level of engineering on some of the Soapboxes was impressive/ridiculous - one even had 3D printed parts although they failed...

Sure, could you include my mates name in the post as a credit; Steve Van Der Park.

He'll have a look tonight to see if he has any other photos too.

Blimey! Nice one guys drivingthumbup

I've watched a lot of the RB series and its very rare to get a Kart / Team that get everything right ie: form, function, style and driving.

I think you nailed it! Fantastic attention to detail too.

Saw this doing the rounds on Facebook. Pretty cool that it’s a PHer responsible for such a good soapbox entry. Genuinely laughed at the fake legs flailing about the place.

This came up on my instagram this morning.

I honestly thought it was one of the best designs and runs I've seen - absolutely spot on!
