Build to collection...

What are Porsche UK like in terms of build to delivery times.

If something started build 1st June, whats the expected/average time to collection. I appreciate sailings restrict it, but most manufacturers seems to be about 4 weeks max really, with a week at the dealer to prep.

OK, I got mine in 3 weeks.

the issues seem to be at port end some times where cars can just sit there for 3 weeks.

Anything from 3 to 8 weeks in my experience.

I’m currently waiting for a Cayman T. Built end of May. Arrived in the UK last week.

OPC called yesterday to say they had 15 cars sat in port waiting for Porsche to issue some sort of emissions certificate before the cars could be released. Expecting the certificate Friday, delivery to OPC early next week, collection next Friday.

Very different to my current 718 delivery. I had a call on the Saturday to say it was in Emden (Germany) waiting to be put on a boat. I collected it from the dealer on the Thursday.

Mine went in for build 26th June and OPC are saying arrival there 2nd August, pick up 10th. That looks about right going off the 2 examples above I guess.

I don’t mind them being conservative but messes with my holiday plans!!

Yep , I'd say assume about 4-6 weeks as being normal.

Just an update on the above, for those that might find it interesting/useful.

Car went into build 26th June. On the boat from Emden to Grimsby 12th July. Expected at OPC 20th July.

Shame I’m busy at work and will have to wait until the weekend to collect!

Check with your OPC. My delivery details mirror yours almost exactly. But my OPC informed me yesterday that my car (along with15 others) has been sat at Grimsby for almost two weeks. Porsche haven’t issued the relevant CoC. I’ve had my collection day of 19th July cancelled. Postponed until “next week, or maybe the week after”.

Had an update last thing to say arrival now 22nd July at OPC, and when asked about any delays was told 27th still works.

Will stick anything on here if it changes.
