We are travelling to Japan for the RWC and will be in the country at the time of the GP although regrettably not available to attend the race itself.

Has anyone got experience of attending the weekend, in particular FP and quali?

Looking at maybe just attending FP as you can roam between the non-premium grandstands, plus it seems you cannot get quali tickets alone and have to pay for the weekend which seems a waste for us if we cannot attend the race.

How busy does it get for FP and quali? How easy is it to get around the track? What other series do they have in support? Is there any other entertainment.

TIA

All you need to know here:

Qualifying was almost as busy as the race from what I recall as people really make an effort, but I don't know about FP - I suspect it would be busier than other races. It's one of the best circuits on the calendar and plenty to do on site including an amusement park. There's very little in the way of support races and I believe the time I went it was only the Porsche Supercup and nothing I know tells me this has changed. Finest food of any circuit I have been to though.

That's great. Looking at highlights videos from last years FP1 and FP2, it seems fairly quiet in comparison which would suit us.
