Rukka quality overrated?

Bought some Rukka Apollo gloves for £200
In the space of 9 months the liner has pulled straight out 3 times, had it replaced under warranty those 3 times. Not particularly roughh with my gloves, these are the only ones that has ever happened to me. My Lindstrand, revit and richa gloves did not do this for me ever. Also, not 100% waterproof, running the tap over them in the sink or submerging in water, they do leak in the finger tips, but I don't know if I'm being unreasonable with that test seeing as thats not a realistic waterproof test. They have been waterproof in the the times I have been caught in rain and my fingertips are underneath the handlebars I guess
I am thinking of buying some Rukka gear off ebay, £160 for a gore-tex textile jacket that has been barely used. am I just unlucky with my experience with Rukka or is this a general trend recently? All their stuff is made in China now.

I've had a pair of rukka Apollos for years , they suffered the lining pull out issue from early on, made worse if your hands are sweaty whilst wearing, I think these have lasted this long (owned since 2010?) as I found this to be PITA issue when wearing so tend to save them for short trips only.. You have to try to hold each finger/liner and remove slowly to stop it happening, seems a design feature as the lining sticks to your hand fingers. There are other summer water proof gloves that to the same job but better, HELD dual pocket gloves spring to mind.

Our bikers at work use Rukka gear and they rate it highly, used in all weathersIn the space of 9 months the liner has pulled straight out 3 times, had it replaced under warranty those 3 times. well its a pretty shocking design feature. Why aren't the liners stitched in? Using pritt stick gluestick to keep the liner in on a £200 is unbelievable. Rukka stuff doesn’t fit me (I’m a fat f
k), but a mate of mine who is a police surveillance motorcyclist has had several sets of Rukka gear and really rates it (although he’s only had jacket/trousers, not gloves). He’s had the GoreTex Pro stuff, which gets frequent launderings and application of outer layer “proofing” stuff. It’s a case of “take care of it and it will take care of you”.
I’ve got Klim stuff, which fits me better and also has less “lining”. It’s more like a GoreTex “shell”, rather than having a liner, which I personally prefer. I’ve not got Klim gloves though, the ones I was using (pre crash) were Hein Gericke GoreTex ones, which are really good, although I’ve never done the washing up in them...

Halvarssons are equivalent quality but they stitch the linings into the glove so they don't pull out.
Just got the Halvarssons Walkyr jacket. https://jofama.se/mcsm/product/walkyrblack-mcjacke...
Laminated, outlast, level 2 armour etc...
Very impressed and if you look around there is a site @ £379 vs £499 everywhere else. Price match this then at MotoLegends for another 10% off to £341.
Bargain vs. Rukka equivalent.

I was thinking of trying Klim at some point as there supposed to have good ventilation whereas my Rukka has none that's of any use. The rukka jackets and trousers are fine for me. I use Lindstrand and Held gloves as I didn't like the fitting of the Rukka gloves.
I have the Klim Badlands Jacket and trousers, I think they are excellent, I commute all year in them and they have never let me down.JamesD74 said:

that said fukka - press stud on trousers broke after a few days so had to be changed and for some reason the lower front of me gets piss soaking wet - which i can only put down to my stature/riding position/bike type
however, it would be cured if they made bib and brace fronts to trousers instead of jeans style
having done a number of miles in it the stuff - its ok back protector is a pain so swapped for another brand
