Hoping someone else can help, posted on lease thread but looking for any advice available.

I have ordered a car and due to change in personal circumstances, may need to cancel the order.

Ordered A6 through Audi direct and eventually sent the finance docs away the 2nd of this month signed, covering sheet states the cancellation period begins on the day after your signature of this agreement and ends of the expiry of 14 calendar days.

Two questions.

1. Can I cancel, it says must be in writing to head office and effective from date of sending letter.
2. What will I be charged, no monies have been exchanged so far and car not due until end month.

Any help greatly appreciated.

What kind of finance?

If the finance is distinct from the car purchase, you may not be withdrawing from both - just telling the dealer you'll fund it another way.

Personal Contract Hire. Unsure if that makes a difference?

Garage personnel unable to help today as correct staff not in. Audi / VW Finance have no knowledge currently of any agreement, possibly due to the infancy of said agreement.

The 14 day period ends tomorrow so you really need to send off letter to head office today if you can't contact anyone to ask.
Does it say anything i the T&Cs re. charges?
As long as you are within the 14 day period I can't see how they can charge you any money.

Even if it's £100 surely that's better than committing to a finance agreement for x number of months when (I'm presuming) you may not be in the position to afford it.

I read it as 14 days from the day after you have signed, meaning the 17th of this month making me eligible to sign a letter and issue tomorrow both via email and next day recorded delivery. They sure as hell do not make it easy for you to get out of!
