Multi car and bike insurance
Discussion
Yes, had a multi car and bike policy for last 7 years, can have up to 6 of each vehicle on it. Usually works out a bit cheaper overall due to not have multiple extras like legal cover, breakdown etc on individual policies. Obviously more convenient too. You get individual NCB on each vehicle and obviously different mileage, class of use and modifications per vehicle.
Its underwritten by Zenith and I get mine through www.paceward.com

This prompted me to call Paceward to get a quote for 2 cars and 2 bikes and they called me back and said they would be over double what my existing payments are!
Back to the drawing board.
Wow...thats crazy ...maybe dont meet the profile of customer they want to acquire at this time !Back to the drawing board.
IME multicar policies have been good first year and then became horrendously uncompetitive. I think they rely on the convenience factor. Mine was Admiral from a few years ago.
I have never bothered since and get four vehicles individually insured, making a point of avoiding comparison sites (they also seem uncompetitive nowadays too). Specialist insurers are the way to go (or Direct Line have recently been very good)

Every year at renewal time i still get quotes for each vehicle, then total it up. A couple of times Ive gone back to the broker and told them I could get 5 or 6 individual policies cheaper, then miraculously they go back to the underwriter and knock a few hundred quid off, making the price kind like I thought it should be ....funny that ....you cant rely on your existing insurer to give you their "best" quote every year....shame really, you would think there would be some kind of loyalty bonus......

I've run one for the last 6 years or so. I think the premium has only changed as a result of additions & deletions of vehicles. With 6 cars to cover the convenience factor is key. I also think it's fair value.I have never bothered since and get four vehicles individually insured, making a point of avoiding comparison sites (they also seem uncompetitive nowadays too). multi car polices are quite common, as are multi bikes policies
I found its quite rare to find companies that combine both i.e. car and bike on same policy. This is what the zenith family fleet policy covers; Up to 6 cars and 6 bikes. I think it works out more economical with multiple drivers on the policy.
