FAO spitfire4v8 (sensor solution)
Discussion
Dear spitfire4v8, I'm looking for some advice. I have installed a 400 Chim motor with Lucas 14CUX in a 350i. I understand this ecu requires a road speed signal for satisfactory idle control so I have purchased a Chim transducer, but I now see comments that this may not drive the ecu directly. Any comments would be appreciated.

I think the best person to answer this with regard getting a signal to the ecu is probably going to be stevesprint as he has (I believe) gone from a precat lt77 gearbox (with speedo transducer) to a T5 (no speedo transducer) and as such has had to replicate / bluff / technical bodge a speed signal to the ecu presumably. I think he runs a sensor from the diff now.
I think Glyn was experimenting with the stepper motor code whilst running without a speed signal to the ecu at all ..
