Hybrid vs Petrol

Hi guys,

Currently got a 2007 Toyota Corolla Verso, and we are looking to replace this within the next year as bills are beginning to mount.

Now issue is the replacement for this is the Prius Plus, which you can only get in a hybrid.

Question is: is there more to go wrong on a hybrid than a regular petrol?

I'm looking into a Prius Gen 2 myself, and there are obviously things to go wrong but it seems they just don't go wrong! Just take note of what taxi drivers use now.......
