A plan chelmsford as well.

Ask for Dominic, they deal directly with "Markerstudy" and do bespoke plans. my Lancer Turbo has been £125 comp for the last 5 years. I'm not 100% sure if they include screen cover on classic policies though.

I have a car with Lancaster and the new quote was about 30% more than last year although actually only £25 more but I phoned them and they dropped it to lower than last year so I paid there and then, theres no loyalty in car insurance!
I have most with Hagerty as they include break down and that has been handy!

I've had the mgb v8 with Hagerty for the past couple of years.
Easy quote, changes to policy were easy when I moved from home to classic storage. Agreed value was free just sent 5 photos and got a mail a week later confirming value.
Really pleasant folks to deal with, and responsive via phone or email...

Adrian Flux are a joke
Oh yes, that too. Forgot about them as they were for our motorhome insurance and not a classic policy. A shining beacon of front-line rudeness and arrogance. I've honestly never dealt with a company whose callcentre policy seems to be to escalate conflict and confrontation at every possible opportunity like theirs is.I think Hagerty have some people with actual brains managing their operation. Their call center is first rate and their systems too.
I called them once and based on the phone number I had called them on they had my documents on screen immediately, None of this "please enter your account number on the key pad" only to then be asked again what it is by the grumpy arse who you eventually speak to. And whatever I wanted a copy of, it was emailed to me immediately by their agent. I shopped around and they weren't the cheapest (but not the most either), but streets ahead in terms of the impression they gave and work I had to do. Of course the real test is when you make a claim and fortunately I've not had to do that, but if a company come across as a bunch of clowns when you are trying to give them money, there is a pretty string chance when its the other way around they will be even worse.

Also try Heritage Car Insurance www.heritagecarinsurance.co.uk. Decent rates and service also. They also underwrite their own multi car policies if you are interested.

So Hagerty seems to be the way forward for the classics then guys ?? do they insure everyday cars also ?
They didn't when I asked, and also wouldn't cover business use, so I stayed with Footman James who have been great for me. I ring round every few years, but haven't found anyone who would match the cover for the price. I had £20k fault claim about ten years ago which they dealt with quickly and easily.I got a very good quote from Classicline Insurance on a "Future Classics" policy last month.
