Fitted an Astra power steering pump?

I suspect my answer may be buried somewhere in this massive thread but could anyone who's used an Astra pump tell me what these three little wires do please?

The big red live, do you have that pernamently live or have you put it through an ignition switched relay?

Big red goes to permanent fused live.
