dodgy wiring 335i, any suggestions?

hi there, I have a 2007 n54 and every now and again the light flashes up on the dash telling me there is a bulb out (which there isn't) but today driving to work, the ABS light came on and a circle with a triangle in it and something else too, I was half way home from work however when I realised it didn't come on this time. I also started it after tea to move the car and it didn't come on then either. Could this mean I got a bit of dodgy wiring somewhere? Any one else had this sort of issue? I would assume there should be no shared wiring between these 2 systems either, or is there a common link between the 2 somewhere?

If your having random error messages your battery could be on its way out. Get it checked as a first port of call.

Was it correctly coded to the car?

Also what led to needing a new battery?

I had similar symptoms from a dodgy alternator on an e60.

My BMW trained mechanic fitted it, so assume it was done correctly, It needed a new battery as he was investigating sluggish starting (not as straight forward as it sounds as my e90 also had sluggish starting but it was the starter not battery), so turned out it was the original battery from new. I put a tread up on here regarding good battery life. But good point though, I will check I will say the warning lights are only very now and again, in fact the bulb warning light has only came on 2 or 3 times over the past 3-4 months maybe and the first time for the ABS warning this morning. So its not as though random things flash up regularly, sorry I should have been clearer with that one

something else I have noticed is that sometimes when I pull the key fob out to turn the car off, the radio sometimes stays on for 5 seconds or so after, but normally as soon as I pull it out, it turns off, come to think of it, when I start it in the morning, the stereo doesn't always come on for 4-5 seconds too, when ordinarily it comes on straight away, I recon I got 'piss Andy off' pixies lurking in my car
